Population Ageing Technical Advisory Group (PATAG)
In 2007, the Bay of Plenty District Health Board and SmartGrowth collaborated to establish a Population Ageing Technical Advisory Group (PATAG).
PATAG's purpose is to advise SmartGrowth and the Bay of Plenty District Health Board on matters relating to the impact of population ageing in the western Bay of Plenty sub-region.
Membership
PATAG members were selected and appointed by the Bay of Plenty District Health Board and the Independent Chair of SmartGrowth. The membership is not representative, it is intergenerational, includes elders and individuals with specialist sets of knowledge, including gerontology, and wide connections to the community and organisational structures.
