Implementation Management Group

The Implementation Management Group:

• selects and recommends the appointment of the SmartGrowth Implementation Advisor to the Chief Executives Advisory Group.
• Oversees the implementation plan, in particular the action milestones, with the SC.
• Receives regular reports from the S.I.A.
• Undertakes and reports on action monitoring and risk management issues via the SC to the SGIC.
• Maintain close links between SmartGrowth and any other related implementation to help achieve a broadly based sustainable development outcome.
• Examine in detail all briefs for actions assigned to the SGIC before they are issued.
• Review all action outputs prior to Joint Committee presentation.
• Ensure that systems and resources are functioning effectively.
• Ensure that any related studies and investigations are drawn to the attention of the S.I.A. in order to avoid duplication of effort.
• Liaises with the Chief Executives to ensure good understanding and ownership of the project within each of the participating organisations.

Membership

SmartGrowth Implementation Advisor (Chairman), SmartGrowth Implementation Committee Independent Chair, two senior representatives (Chief Executive delegates) from each partner council and Transit NZ, Communication advisor, Tu Pakiri Advisor, and Administrator.
